LET'S KNOW WHAT EXACTLY IS THE REASON FOR THE CHANGE IN BABY BODY TEMPERATURE.

There is a gland called hypothalamus in our body. Which react due to specific reasons. Such as external weather or change in it, or entry of virus, bacteria into the body or injury to the body. During this time, these glands release a special chemical that increases the body temperature and with this heat, the virus or bacteria will be killed. In simple words we can say that our body is trying to tell us that something is wrong in our body with this sign.

WHY BODY TEMPERATURE VARY

There can be many reasons for body temperature change. As the body temperature rises in the late afternoon or early evening, the same temperature is lower in the early morning. This law of nature applies to everyone, even children. There are other important factors that affect the baby's body temperature such as the baby's age and activity.

Another important thing is that the head, palms and feet of children are hotter than other organs because the blood circulation is very high in this place. It is good and normal for these organs to be warm.

SIGN OF WHEN BABY NEED DOCTER HELP?

There can be many reasons why a child's body temperature changes. In some houses, children are constantly in cold environment i.e. in AC, when they go outside immediately, the body temperature of children rises and falls quickly to adapt to that environment.  But that doesn't mean they have a fever.

A normal temperature in babies and children is about 36.4C, but this can vary slightly. A high temperature or fever is usually considered to be a temperature of 38C or above. Your baby may have a high temperature if they feel hotter than usual to touch on their back or chest.

If your baby is 3 to 6 months old and has a temperature up to 102 F (38.9 C) and seems sick or has a temperature higher than 102 F (38.9 C), contact your health care provider.

  • TYPES OF THERMOMETERS USED TO TAKE BABY BODY TEMPERATURE?

  • Digital Thermometer:

  • Oral: Used for older babies who can hold a thermometer under their tongue.

  • Rectal: The most accurate method for infants, where the thermometer is gently inserted into the rectum.

  • Armpit (Axillary): Placed under the baby's arm. Less accurate than rectal but easier for quick checks.

  • Ear (Tympanic) Thermometer:

  • Measures the temperature inside the ear canal. It's quick and less invasive but may not be as accurate for newborns or very young infants.

  • Forehead (Temporal Artery) Thermometer:

  • Scans the surface of the forehead and is non-invasive, making it suitable for quick temperature checks. It is fairly accurate but can be influenced by external factors like room temperature.

  • Pacifier Thermometer:

  • A digital thermometer shaped like a pacifier, designed for babies who are used to pacifiers. It's less accurate than rectal thermometers.

  • Smart Thermometer:
